Watch & Win Competition – Terms and Conditions

  1. Promoter

The competition is hosted by Primedia Studios in association with MasterChef South Africa (the “Promoter”).

  1. Competition Period

The MasterChef SA Season 6 Watch & Win competition runs during the broadcast of MasterChef South Africa Season 6 on Sundays from 19 April 2026 to 17 August 2026. Entries received after the close of each episode’s entry window will not be considered.

  1. How to Enter

To stand a chance to win, participants must:

  • Watch the premiere episode of MasterChef South Africa Season 6 on television.
  • Answer an episode‑related question as posed during or immediately after the broadcast.
  • Submit their answer via WhatsApp to 0690157777 within the entry window communicated on air and/or on official MasterChef SA platforms.

No purchase is required to enter.

  1. Prizes
  • Winners will stand a chance to win a BEKO appliance prmoted on that specific episode.
  • The specific model, colour, and specifications of the appliance will be determined by the Promoter and/or BEKO, subject to availability.
  • Prizes are not transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
  1. Winner Selection
  • Winners will be randomly selected from all correct and eligible entries received for each episode.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Winners may be required to provide valid identification and any additional documentation reasonably required by the Promoter.
  1. Notification & Prize Delivery
  • Winners will be contacted via the WhatsApp number used to enter or via other contact details provided.
  • If a winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to respond within a reasonable timeframe, the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner selected.
  • Prize delivery will take place within 30 working days from receipt of all required documentation.
  • The Promoter will not be responsible for any costs incurred by participants in entering the competition or receiving the prize.
  1. Eligibility
  • The competition is open to South African residents aged 18 years or older.
  • A participant may not win if they have won a prize on MasterChef SA S6 within the last 90 days, whether on‑air, online, or via any MasterChef SA social media platform.
  • Employees of Primedia Broadcasting, Primedia Outdoor, Primedia Studios, BEKO, their agencies, and their immediate family members are not permitted to enter.
  1. General
  • The Promoter will not be held liable for entries not received due to technical issues, network failures, or WhatsApp service disruptions.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition and these Terms and Conditions without prior notice, in line with applicable legislation.
  • By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  1. Processing of Personal Information

By entering this competition, participants consent to Primedia Studios processing their personal information for purposes including but not limited to:

  • Administering the competition
  • Verifying eligibility and awarding prizes
  • Consumer profiling and internal analysis
  • Marketing and communication related to Primedia Studios products and services

Personal information may be shared with authorised third parties, including service providers who process information on Primedia’s behalf. Information may, in certain circumstances, be processed outside of South Africa.

BEKO – PRIZE DELIVERY TERMS & CONDITIONS

MasterChef South Africa x Primedia Campaign 2026

These terms govern the delivery and fulfilment of Beko appliances awarded as prizes in the MasterChef South Africa promotional competitions conducted by Primedia Broadcasting (“the Promoter”).

By accepting a prize, the winner agrees to the following delivery and fulfilment terms.

  1. Prize Sponsor and Role

1.1 The prizes are sponsored by Defy Appliances (Pty) Ltd (“Beko”).

1.2 Beko’s responsibility is limited strictly to supply and delivery of the prize appliance to the confirmed winner.

1.3 The Promoter remains responsible for the administration of the competition and winner selection.

  1. Delivery Area

2.1 Delivery is limited to physical street addresses within the Republic of South Africa.

2.2 Delivery to P.O. Boxes, farms without access roads, mines, offshore locations or cross-border destinations is excluded.

2.3 Delivery to remote or outlying areas may require extended delivery times.

  1. Delivery Timeframe

3.1 Delivery will be arranged within 14 (fourteen) business days from the date that:

  • the Promoter provides Beko with the winner’s confirmed details; and
  • the winner has been successfully contacted by Beko or its appointed courier.

3.2 Delivery dates and times are subject to:

  • stock availability
  • logistics scheduling
  • access to the delivery address.

3.3 Delays caused by factors outside Beko’s control (including strikes, civil unrest, extreme weather, courier delays or force majeure events) shall not constitute a breach of these terms.

  1. Winner Contact and Availability

4.1 Winners must provide accurate delivery details and be reachable via telephone/email.

4.2 Beko or its courier will make at least three (3) reasonable attempts to contact the winner to arrange delivery.

4.3 If the winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond within 7 (seven) calendar days of first contact attempt, the prize will be deemed forfeited and returned to the Promoter.

4.4 A forfeited prize will not be re-issued by Beko.

  1. Delivery Requirements

5.1 Delivery is doorstep/ground-floor delivery only.

5.2 The winner must ensure:

  • safe and legal access to the property;
  • sufficient space for the appliance;
  • that someone aged 18+ is present to accept delivery.

5.3 Beko and its courier are not responsible for:

  • hoisting, craning or lifting appliances;
  • removing doors, windows, cabinetry or fixtures;
  • carrying appliances up multiple flights of stairs without lift access;
  • navigating narrow passages or structural obstacles.

5.4 If delivery cannot be completed due to access constraints, the winner must arrange and pay for any specialist services required. A re-delivery fee may apply.

  1. Installation and Connections

6.1 The prize includes delivery only.

6.2 Installation, plumbing, electrical connections, cabinetry adjustments and removal of existing appliances are excluded.

6.3 The winner is responsible for arranging professional installation where required.

6.4 Beko shall not be liable for damage or loss arising from third-party installation.

  1. Inspection on Delivery

7.1 The winner must inspect the appliance upon delivery.

7.2 Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery note and reported to Beko within 48 hours.

7.3 Claims reported after this period may not be accepted.

  1. Stock Availability and Substitution

8.1 Prizes are subject to availability.

8.2 Beko reserves the right to substitute the prize with a similar model of equal or greater value if necessary.

  1. Warranty

9.1 The appliance carries Beko’s standard manufacturer’s warranty.

9.2 Warranty terms are provided with the product and handled via Beko’s normal customer service channels.

9.3 The warranty does not cover misuse, incorrect installation, or commercial use.

  1. Risk and Ownership

10.1 Risk in the appliance passes to the winner upon successful delivery and signature of the delivery note.

10.2 Beko shall not be liable for loss or damage occurring after delivery.

  1. Limitation of Liability

11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beko shall not be liable for:

  • indirect or consequential loss;
  • failed delivery due to incorrect information supplied by the winner;
  • delays outside Beko’s reasonable control.
  1. General

12.1 Prizes and delivery are non-transferable, non-refundable and not redeemable for cash.

12.2 These terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
